Tax Staff in Washington, DC

Full Time (direct hire) - $50k to 60k salary

We are currently looking to fill a full time tax staff position. Tax compliance responsibilities will principally involve nonprofit tax preparation, including Form 990, 990-T, and state returns, as well as other tax compliance projects.

Responsibilities Include:

• Work with senior tax staff in order to provide timely preparation of tax returns for review
• Effectively utilize Firm technology resources in order to prepare returns in the most efficient possible manner
• Be proficient in the use of basic tax preparation and accounting software such as CCH Prosystems fx Tax and CCH Prosystems Engagement (E-Pace)
• Be able to identify basic tax issues and communicate them to the senior tax staff in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications:

Must be a CPA candidate; internship experience preferable, but not required. Candidate must possess a strong interest in professional advancement and possess an interest in taking ownership in projects that have been assigned.
