Overview
Assist the Corporate Controller in the direction of the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial planning and activities of the company and may serve as the primary financial leader supporting financial activities. Sometimes the job may require coming in earlier or later for conference calls in countries overseas.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, accounting practices, relationship amongst lending institutions and the financial communities, maintenance of fiscal records and the preparation of financial reports.
- Supervise general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting and budgetary controls.
- Responsible for the monthly closing of books and generation of financial statements.
- Review account analysis prepared by staff.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with GL.
- Work directly with outside vendors on quarterly and year-end audits.
- Coordinate the quarterly tax filing and payments, extensions, and preparation of final returns via PwC.
- Administrator of license renewals, application of new license, tax assessments and abatements.
- Oversee insurance renewals and audits.
- Review payment vouchers and serve as A/P back-up person.
- Oversee fixed assets accounting, tax depreciation, roll forward, tax depreciation expense for tax filing.
- Review commission spreadsheets. Prepares accrual journal entry.
- Prepare payroll journal and distributes Payroll Distribution report to GMs.
- Resolve bank-related issues such as account maintenance, wires and loans
- Analyze, review and post G/L and JEs.
- Review and approve A/R adjustment and refunds.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an Accounting Degree.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct experience in the field.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting systems.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Qualifications That Are a Plus
- Knowledge and working experience with Oracle Accounting systems.
- Licensed CPA
