Who + What is ROCS?
ROCS started with 2 George Mason students wanting to help other students and recent grads find jobs. In just under 5 years, we've helped over 500 students find jobs in over 150 companies throughout the Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland areas. We're in a perfect position to grow the company and offer more jobs to more students - that's where you come in. With more jobs, comes responsibility to our clients and handling the back-end work, so we have to give up something we like the most - meeting students on campus. However, our loss is your gain and we're looking for a few lucky Mason students to act as ROCS' Student Finders. If you're think you're up to it, keep reading and let us know if you think you'd be a good fit.
Our Ideal Student Finder:
- Serious, Self-Motivated, Goal-Driven, and Entrepreneurial-Minded and doesn't require constant supervision
- Students who love meeting new people while helping students find jobs
- Outgoing, Friendly, and Approachable
- Thrives on reaching daily goals and has a 'get out of the way' approach to attaining a goal
- Sharp verbal and written communication skills, including the skill for listening to others
- Is in any degree path; as long as you want to come work hard and gain some great experience
What Will I Do?
- Recruit Students and Recent Grads on Mason's Fairfax campus
- Manage weekly kiosks and tents
- Make new connections with your peers and faculty to recruit the best students on campus
- Distribute and place flyers on campus
- Any guerrilla marketing projects or idea you can come up with...seriously
Please Don't Bother if:
- Your afraid to speak to a stranger
- The idea of going and introducing yourself to people frightens you
- You can't think outside of the box
- Don't take rejection well
Pay:
- 10-20 hours a week
- $10-12 per hour plus bonuses (based on number of students hired)
