Job Details
This position provides project support to Senior/Project Managers on ERC client-related survey projects. The data analyst will run analyses, evaluate, and prepare complex statistical data for ERC clients. The Data Analyst will assist with report generation in PowerPoint and participate in the analysis and interpretation of data. This position will also develop, maintain, and ensure quality control of databases and may assist in development and implementation of measurement systems.
Responsibilities
- Works with project management staff to collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports
- Maintains databases and ensures quality control over ERC benchmarks
- Utilizes specified statistical software to verify accuracy of data collections
- Maintains appropriate records of research methods, data weighting methodology and implementation practices
- Assists in the management of client projects specifically related to survey implementation (paper and online) and receipt of data to be added into ERC databases
- May participate in or initiate proposal writing and funding searches
- Must be able to describe database issues to non-technical staff and clients in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Skills Required
- BA/BS Degree required, social sciences a plus
- 2 - 4 years analyzing business-related data - survey analysis is preferred
- SPSS, Excel, and PowerPoint experience a must
- Ability to explain databases and complex analyses and apply that knowledge in a practical business setting
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills a must - Public speaking a plus
- Understanding of research methods a plus
