Job Description
A fast growing media company is seeking a results-driven Admin/HR Assistant to manage the flow of our Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruiting: posting job opportunities, performing resume searches, filling vacant positions, maintaining a candidate pipelines, maintaining the recruiting database, exhibiting at job fairs and maintaining relationships with local colleges and universities
- On-boarding/Off-boarding: conducting interviews, background checks, employment/education verification, preparing offer packages, orientations, and exit interviews.
- Employee Relations: answering inquiries from employees, resolving issues and complaints, and maintaining training manuals and policies.
- Benefits Administration: sourcing benefit companies, adding/removing employees to and managing benefits plans, reviewing provider bills for accuracy, and tracking staff PTO and Vacation times.
- Payroll Administration: adding/removing employees, timekeeping, working in tandem with accounting to ensure seamless payroll processing & procedures.
Job Requirements
- Willingness to expend the necessary time to complete work assignments
- Must be a true team player willing to roll up his/her sleeves and assist as needed
- Pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Human Resources or a related field (Juniors and Seniors preferred)
- Must be a people person with the ability to relate to individuals at all levels
