Linux/Unix System Administrator in McLean, Va

McLean, Va - Full-Time - $50-75K + Benefits

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, particularly on Unix and/or Linux operating systems.
• Must be able to obtain an agency-sponsored 6c public trust clearance. This means no significant criminal history, drug abuse problems, foreign connections, etc.
• Job offer is contingent on passing the 6c background investigation.
• 0-3 years experience Light programming or shell scripting experience is a plus.
• Must be US Citizen

Duties:

• Job responsibilities will include the installation and maintenance of applications on a Linux server, including applications installed from package managers, as well as applications installed from source.
• The candidate will also work with several web-based platforms, such as SharePoint, and an open source application called OpenFISMA.
• The user will manage accounts and act as a technical support liaison for our company's and client's end users. Light programming or shell scripting experience is a plus.
