Successful candidates will serve as Materials Engineers carrying out work that will provide continually progressive professional experience and maturity. Work will involve project engineering and science services to support the research, development, and engineering mission of the Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Research Directorate (WMRD).
Examples of expertise include chemistry (energetic materials, organic and inorganic molecular synthesis and polymers); materials (ceramics, composites, elastomers, metals, polymers and rubber formulations); solid/structural mechanics (finite element analysis, material behavior and failure); and, surface coating of metal, cold spray and thermal spray processes.
