Materials Engineer in Aberdeen, MD

Full Time - $50k - $90k Salary (based on experience) + Benefits - (U.S. Citizens Only)

Position Summary

Successful candidates will serve as Materials Engineers carrying out work that will provide continually progressive professional experience and maturity. Work will involve project engineering and science services to support the research, development, and engineering mission of the Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Research Directorate (WMRD).

Examples of expertise include chemistry (energetic materials, organic and inorganic molecular synthesis and polymers); materials (ceramics, composites, elastomers, metals, polymers and rubber formulations); solid/structural mechanics (finite element analysis, material behavior and failure); and, surface coating of metal, cold spray and thermal spray processes.

Position Requirements

• This position requires a minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science/Math.
• Candidates will be evaluated in terms of applicability of education and experience to the specific needs of the position.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Additional Requirements

• DOD clearance or ability to obtain a clearance within a reasonable period of time.

Pay

• 55-90k Depending on Experience.
• Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree will earn 50-60k/yr
• Graduate/Post Graduate Levels can expect 60-90k/yr.
