Graphic Design Intern in Arlington, VA

Full Time (90 day job length) - $15 per hour (higher pay possible-dependent upon experience)

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 90-day temporary full-time position. The Digital Graphics Intern will produce graphic illustrations and designs for proposals, briefing slides, and web content for U.S. Government technology markets principally in defense, intelligence, security, and energy. It is an hourly position with a nominal schedule, although some proposal and other urgent projects will require evening and weekend work.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Initially, the position will report administratively to the Chief Operating Officer who resolves project priorities when necessary; and reports operationally to the responsible individual for each specific project. If additional graphics employees are assigned, and one or more are senior to this position, The Digital Graphics Intern may report administratively to a more senior graphics employee. Work equipment, software, supplies, training, and environment will be appropriate to ensure the success of this position.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• The position requires a self-starter who can quickly convert concepts (including technical) into attractive, illustrative graphics with minimal to no supervision.
• The ability to maximize creativity while maintaining schedule and clear communication of the desired message is highly desired.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

The position requires U.S. citizenship. The ability to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance is highly desired.
