Job Overview
Cybersecurity Consultant professionals deliver innovative solutions to key US Government clients and provide expertise in all aspects of Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity Consultants identify and evaluate business needs for security gaps and will help to create and implement security strategies and plans. They also anticipate security requirements and identify sound security controls for applications, systems, processes and organizations. Cybersecurity Consultants work on dedicated security projects, and well as with cross disciplinary teams to integrate security controls on projects.
The company is currently looking for consultants for their Security practice with extensive experience in Information Assurance standards and policies for the federal government, with deep expertise with Cybersecurity related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities may include
- Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
- Risk Assessment Analysis
- Security Incident & Event Management processes and tools
- Governance, Risk & Control processes and tools
- Operational Security Reviews
- Working directly with clients to develop Cybersecurity strategies, architectures and implementation plans
- Trusted Application Development
- Technical Penetration
- Vulnerability Analysis and Forensics
- Working with Scanning and Penetration tools
- Cloud Computing
- Biometric Identification systems
- Intrusion detection systems, security network technology, event monitoring/management
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience with Information Assurance or Information Security
- Minimum Bachelor's degree
- Ability to travel Monday-Thursday 50-75%
Professional Skill Requirements

- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Desire to work in an information systems environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Expertise with Federal security frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, DoD Directives
- Strongly prefer industry-adopted security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM)
