Qualifications:
- Must be able to attend on-site customer appointments on a daily basis. These customer appointments are, and usually are, in multiple locations
- Excellent time management, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills
- Good interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be capable of balancing between fulfilling customer's needs and meeting company expectations and goals
- Must be able to attend outside client/customer appointments and conduct face-to-face prospecting on a regular basis
- Internal candidates must meet quota achievement and assessment requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant Work Experience
Duties:
- Attain monthly sales quota and meet required sales activity levels, including, but not limited to, proposals and appointments
- Develop prospect target lists including location, interconnection requirements, potential revenue, and other necessary information
- Prospect for business customers through cold calling (phone or in person), networking and lead generation
- Sell basic business products and services by calling on prospective and existing customers, assessing customer's needs, providing product and pricing information, and presenting solutions that meet customer requirements. May sell more complex products and services with assistance
- Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes
- Coordinate internal resources to meet customer requirements and expectations
- Prepare and present professional proposals specific to customer needs
- Compile sales proposal documents and ensure proper documentation is completed

Heads up:
On average most starting account executives make $50-70k their first year. They have a great training program and you will be working with a well adverse team. They currently have a recent graduate who's on track to make over $100k her first year despite the economy.
