Who and What is ROCS?
ROCS started with 2 GMU students wanting to help other students and recent grads find jobs. In just under 7 years, we've helped thousands of students and grads find jobs in over 200 companies throughout the DC area. We are growing fast and need some great students and recent grads to help - that's where you come in.
Our Ideal Client Rep
- A recent college graduate from a four-year university
- We don't have a degree requirement, but you must have a passion for helping our clients find the right students and grads for their companies
- Someone who has had previous experience recruiting (in corporate setting or school organizations), customer service, or sales
- A person who can be described as outgoing, friendly, and approachable
- Great listening and communication skills
What can you expect at ROCS from the start?
- You'll get to be in our hands-on training program; which allows you the opportunity to work with our co-founders, fellow recruiters, interns, clients, and students/grads
- Lots of chances to screw up and support from our staff. After a few months, you'll find your own voice, recruiting methods, and gain confidence
- When you've completed the training, you'll get the opportunity to establish your own client base, recruit students and grads, and work on company projects or initiatives
Here are just a few things ROCS Client Reps do:
- Establish new and maintain existing client relationships. You'll do this by calling local companies, networking with local HR professionals, business owners and decision-makers
- Create and develop a recruiting pipeline utilizing our very own organic recruiting methods, university departments, and professors to attract the top students and grads from local colleges and universities
- Participate in the recruiting process. Our recruiters work with HR professionals and hiring managers to come up with the appropriate job descriptions, responsibilities, and the right candidates for the position
- Represent ROCS at college and university and job fairs
- Come up with great ideas AND run with them
- Have fun with your co-workers (see past outings)
