Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated individual to oversee our after-school program, providing a safe and supportive environment for 3-10 students awaiting late pickups. This role involves helping students with their homework, ensuring they have a quiet place to study, and assisting with basic tasks like emailing teachers if needed. You will also ensure the room is set up, and students are settled with a snack and engaged in quiet activities such as reading or using laptops.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Assist students with homework, provide basic academic support, and help them communicate with their teachers as needed.
Manage staggered student pickups from 3:30 PM to 5:45 PM, with a grace period until 6:00 PM.
Coordinate with the front desk staff member, who will assist with parent communications and other tasks.
Ensure the room is set up by 3:15 PM and assist with carpool if necessary.
Maintain a social and engaging environment for students.
Students range from grades third through eleventh

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree in Education, preferably in junior or senior year, or completing practicum work.
College graduates are welcome to apply.
CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if not already certified).
Reliable and responsible, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Able to commit to the minimum hours required with some flexibility for additional shifts.

Pay Rate: $18/hour

Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM (with flexible Friday shift)
Start Time: 3:15 PM for setup
Duration: Long-term position
