Responsibilities of the Nonprofit Membership & Engagement Specialist (Healthcare):

  • Oversee the execution of member benefits and assist in onboarding new members
  • Monitor and analyze topics of conversation within the community database to ensure adherence to user agreement
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with the other departments, ensuring that community engagement campaigns and support systems are integrated with program development, and reflect association’s priorities
  • Advise and train internal audiences (staff, volunteer leadership, members) on how to navigate and communicate effectively using the Community Platform
  • Facilitate with member leadership to launch online dialogues
  • Analyze and interpret data to clearly articulate trends and issues in the community
  • Coordinates content for the monthly newsletter
  • Assist leaders with request for mail lists, surveys, and other request as needed
  • Serve as backup for the Membership and Customer Service Representative team
  • Manage and respond to the membership department email and voice mail boxes
  • Provides administrative/project support for membership initiatives including but not limited to membership dues processing and member inquires by email and phone

Requirements of the Nonprofit Membership & Engagement Specialist (Healthcare):

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university
  • At least one year of experience in an office administrative position
  • At least one year of previous experience working with an association or other membership based nonprofit organization
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and time management skills
  • Software knowledge – Previous AMS (Association Management Software) Experience and / or previous CMS (Community Management Software) experience, very proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • An enthusiastic multi-tasker
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated proactive and strategic approach to daily tasks

$45-48k + Excellent Benefits
