This is an excellent nonprofit job opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who cares deeply about child advocacy. In this role you’ll help a local nonprofit manage programs, oversee general office administration, vendor and facility management, and assist with accounting, HR and other business related operations.

Responsibilities of the Operations Manager (Child Advocacy):

  • Manage office administration to ensure efficient organizational operations
  • Primary contact for facility management, vendors, and assisting with contract negotiation
  • Assist with the coordination of internal and external events and program related activities
  • Keep executives informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities
  • Assist with the supervision of volunteers
  • Manages administrative management of human resources functions including payroll processing, benefits, reporting, scheduling interviews, keeping personnel records, and managing onboarding 
  • Ensure that common areas are tidy, organized, and well stoked
  • Oversee and manage program administration
  • Receive and prioritize mail
  • Assist with special projects and seasonal drives as needed

Requirements of the Operations Manager (Child Advocacy):

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of office administrative / operational experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous HR, payroll, and HRIS experience
  • Experience working with and managing vendors
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Ability to work cooperative and able to multi-task across multiple different programs and projects with changing priorities
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of office management principles and procedures
  • Passion for service, working in the non-profit environment, and supporting children and families
  • Must be proficient in MS Office 365 and tech-savvy enough to pick up new programs quickly
  • Knowledge of supplies, office equipment, and inventory/ ordering protocol
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting procedures
  • This position will require a comprehensive background check
