Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented part-time HR Assistant to provide support to the HR Manager. This role is crucial in managing daily HR operations, enabling the HR Manager to focus on culture and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities of the HR Assistant:
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process by managing job postings, coordinating interviews, and facilitating orientations
- Offer comprehensive administrative assistance to HR, including maintaining digital files, updating HRIS, and managing employee intranet content
- Oversee employee background checks and ensure compliance with Safesport, CPR, First Aid, and AED training requirements
- Administer employee benefits programs, responding to inquiries and ensuring smooth program coordination
- Review timecards and assist with bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Coordinate training and development programs, managing schedules and tracking employee participation
- Provide administrative support for HR projects, including the development of standard operating procedures and diversity initiatives
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies
- Reconcile monthly benefits statements and process invoices through the accounts payable system
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to enhance and streamline HR processes and procedures
Requirements of the HR Assistant:
- 1-4 years of related experience in an HR administrative support role required.
- Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive) preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to details, and extremely responsive
