Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing & Reporting
- Process hourly payroll accurately and on time
- Generate and reconcile weekly Assignar payroll hours
- Coordinate with operations to identify and correct discrepancies in work hours
- Prepare, upload, and process payroll in Acumatica and ADP
- Record payroll-related cash funding transactions and general ledger entries
Project Accounting
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other expenses
- Update and manage Acumatica employee records (pay rates, address changes, etc.)
- Collaborate with project managers to review actual vs. budgeted revenue and costs
Month & Year-End Closing
- Process and record project direct cost accruals
- Audit and ensure accuracy of percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
- Reconcile and adjust inventory GL balances and maintain supporting reports
- Record miscellaneous journal entries (depreciation, PTO accrual, etc.)
Purchasing & Accounts Payable Support
- Maintain vendor records and process approved purchase orders
- Assist with accounts payable tasks and investigate discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- Participate in annual physical inventory counts and reconcile results to the general ledger
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 10 years of diverse accounting experience
- At least 5 years in construction and/or manufacturing cost accounting
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong experience with ERP systems (preferably in construction or manufacturing)
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
