Learning & Evaluation Associate
This role supports a small, collaborative Learning, Evaluation, and Data (LED) team by leading research initiatives, managing data processes, and fostering a culture of learning across the organization. The associate plays a key role in helping teams use data and evaluation to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal strategic research, including: Finding and summarizing literature on specific topics and strategy considerations for foundation initiatives, as necessary. Building reports on specific areas of foundation interest.
- Coordinate research projects and synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Collect, clean, analyze, and visualize qualitative and quantitative data
- Support development of evaluation frameworks and measurement tools
- Collaborate with internal teams and external evaluators on study design and execution
- Develop and facilitate learning agendas, reflection sessions, and knowledge-sharing efforts
- Track team projects and documentation, manage timelines and files, and support cross-team initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Public Health, Data Science, Social Sciences, or related field
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit or philanthropic environment
- 4+ years of experience in research, evaluation, or data-related roles
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Project management experience and organizational skills
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other data tools a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to equity and learning
