What You'll Do
- Monitor network management systems and helpdesk channels to identify and respond to technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems involving computer hardware, software, networks, system access, applications, and telecommunications.
- Provide professional and timely technical support to internal and external customers.
- Respond to support requests through phone, email, web chat, and ticketing systems.
- Diagnose technical problems, explain solutions clearly, and provide step by step guidance to users.
- Determine the severity and complexity of reported issues and escalate them to the appropriate technical team when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer requests, troubleshooting steps, services provided, and issue status.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior personnel.
- Support continuous 24/7 network operations, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ year of experience with networking, operating systems, computer hardware, software, or networking applications preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong interest in network engineering, information technology, or a related technical field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, think critically, and learn new technologies.
- Experience with enterprise ticketing or monitoring tools such as ServiceNow or SolarWinds is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and contract requirements.
