Why You Want to Work Here
We are seeking a curious, motivated, and detail-oriented Membership Development Associate to support a sales team through lead generation, account research, prospect qualification, and sales pipeline management. This is an excellent entry point into business development for a recent graduate who is interested in sales and marketing but prefers a research- and relationship-focused approach over high-volume cold calling, with opportunities to grow into direct membership sales over time.
Responsibilities
- Research target manufacturing companies and identify executive-level decision-makers and potential membership prospects.
- Research and qualify or disqualify leads based on established target-market criteria.
- Develop and refine personalized outreach and nurture messaging designed to engage C-suite and senior-level executives.
- Support sales campaigns and collaborate closely with sales team members to generate new membership opportunities.
- Schedule introductory calls and meetings with qualified prospects for the sales team.
- Maintain accurate prospect, contact, lead, and pipeline information within the CRM.
- Monitor and update sales stages, follow-up activities, and other pipeline information to ensure data remains accurate and actionable.
- Review campaign performance and analytics using tools such as Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Develop a strong understanding of the organization's membership offerings, target markets, and the various executive audiences served.
- Support sales automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve prospecting and outreach processes.
- Provide general administrative and sales support to help the team achieve membership and revenue goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Marketing, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, or sales support preferred; recent graduates and internship experience will be considered.
- Experience using a CRM, particularly Salesforce, strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with sales automation or prospecting tools such as Outreach, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data across a sales pipeline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop professional messaging for senior-level audiences.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple leads, opportunities, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
- Curious, motivated, coachable, and eager to learn and develop a career in sales and business development.
- Ability to understand sales processes, customer lifecycles, and CRM stages.
- Comfortable working independently in a primarily remote environment while collaborating effectively with a team.
