About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Entry-Level Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, professional office environment. You’ll work closely with the Purchasing team to support daily operations, vendor communication, and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm purchase orders have been received by suppliers
- Verify accuracy of supplier order confirmations and resolve discrepancies
- Update and maintain purchase order tracking information in the ERP system
- Assist the Purchasing team with administrative tasks and project support
- Communicate with vendors to place and follow up on orders across multiple locations
- Coordinate shipment and delivery logistics with warehouse teams nationwide
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree
- Previous office experience or strong desire to gain professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable speaking on the phone with vendors and suppliers
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a quiet office environment
