This position is important because it has direct contact with members, board members, and public constituents.

Responsibilities of the Fundraising Project Coordinator:

  • Works to plan, implement and track annual giving programs and appeals

  • Drafts all appeals, and facilitates the review/approval process and implementation

  • Coordinates cross-functionally with internal departments to determine annual fund 

  • Determines  appropriate online fundraising tools

  • Managing content updates and donor recognition programs 

  • Provides logistical support to manage event fundraising

  • Works with internal departments to implement plans 

  • Coordinates gift acknowledgment process, personalizing each letter as appropriate 

  • Coordinates unique projects as assigned, including annual donor attribution opportunities 

  • Maintains database and prospect lists

  • Provides expertise in database management in order to deliver data for fundraising

  • Works with the Finance Department to coordinate gift processing

  • Supports with revenue booking, invoicing and collections

  • Works with outside vendors to ensure payments and registrations are confirmed

  • Prepares and tracks all check requests for individual giving

  • Manages development department materials

  • Tracks fundraising publications for important trends, and new opportunities for fundraising success

Qualifications of the Fundraising Project Coordinator:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university

  • 3+ years of previous experience in business development, nonprofit or sales 

  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skill in database management

  • Familiarity with Personify, Salesforce or Nimble a plus

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office required

  • Superior writing skills and excellent proofreading skills required
