The Analyst will be submerged in the manufacturing industry through events, research, and collaboration. As an analyst you will lead and manage research from industry stakeholders and technology research groups to further advance awareness, partnerships, and developments in U.S. manufacturing technologies.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Analyst:
- Conduct and manage research on the advancement of manufacturing technologies
- Identify research opportunities from the industry through active engagements and participation in groups such as: committees, review boards, analysis teams, etc.
- Provide context of technologies to our market and economic research teams
- Develop written content supporting our content strategy that consists of defining the current state of the art, state of the industry, and relevant advancements in specific technologies
- Build relationships with our market research subscribers and the broader industry; develop a thorough understanding and informed opinions of relevant topics in the industry
- Attend and participate in trade shows and other industry events; increase visibility through hosting, moderating, or participating in conference programs is expected
Requirements of the Manufacturing Analyst:
- Completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and may include supporting capstone projects or laboratory teaching, advisory roles in university-level centers/institutes, or other public-private partnership settings
- Strong listening, writing, and speaking abilities as well as attention to detail and organizational competencies; writing ability includes coverage of business and technical topics; demonstrated writing or speaking examples in the public domain expected
- Proficient in typical office tools such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; data analytics and visualization competencies such as: R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau
- Proficient in project management tools and practices
- Able to travel up to once per month for industry events and meetings
