In this position you will provide administrative support for our membership department and work directly with the Manager of Membership and Administration.

Responsibilities for Membership Coordinator:

  • Manage the membership database to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information
  • Execute the membership dues billing procedure, including past due calls with the Manager of Membership and Administration
  • Respond to membership calls, emails and faxes, as well as fulfill requests for membership information
  • Process new member applications, including preparation and mailing of new member kits and annual certificates
  • Prepare and make bank deposits
  • Serve as co-receptionist for general incoming calls, email, fax and mail distribution and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare, with the Manager of Membership and Administration, miscellaneous accounts receivables and coordinate collections 
  • Provide administrative support for all aspects, including but not limited to: clerical duties, written communications and telephone communications
  • File correspondence, reports, proposals, project files, bills and other items as needed  
  • Maintain inventory control of all publications, stationary, office supplies and other materials
  • Assist in development and implementation of member services, benefits and membership recruitment activities
                        

Qualifications for Membership Coordinator:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree 
  • Prior experience with database management programs a plus 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Excellent telephone skills and customer service orientation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to plan, prioritize tasks and solve problems
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, membership databases, Outlook and the ability to quickly learn new programs as needed
  • Minimum of two years office experience in an administrative position preferred
  • Previous trade association experience a plus
