We are seeking a highly organized, team-oriented, and customer service focused Member Services Specialist. This position maintains an important role by contributing to every event the department manages while working with a wide variety of supplier members who range from exciting new start-ups to fortune 500 companies. The essential duties of this position are delivering outstanding customer service, both internally and externally, and providing logistical support for supplier members and events or trade shows. The ideal person for this position will have an enthusiasm for working in the events space and is interested in a customer facing role.
Responsibilities of the Member Services Specialist:
- Serve as primary liaison for new supplier members
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and manage membership renewal campaigns
- Manage trade show non-exhibiting supplier registration
- Serve as project lead for B2B virtual events
- Assist with supplier committees and board selection and maintenance
- Assist Director of Supplier Relations with supporting our premier level of supplier membership, during events and activities
- Assist with invoicing and collections for membership-related products and services
- Update supplier member collateral and website as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Serve as the account manager for the New Exhibitor Area (~200 companies)
- Manage booth selection communications cycle
- Support and service exhibiting companies by answer questions via email, phone and on-site
- Assist with invoicing and collections for exhibits-related items
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of the Member Services Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years’ experience administrative and/or customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Customer-first attitude and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work on a high-performing team within a collaborative environment
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Suite tools
