Responsibilities of the Membership Development Manager:
- Follow up with warm leads by calling prospects that are generated by preexisting lead sources
- Understand the benefits of membership and sell key aspects to target audiences
- Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process
- Responsible for achieving an individual revenue quota
- Leverage sales tools to drive prospective members through the sales funnel
- Conduct discovery calls, understand customer needs, and align with the organization's value proposition
- Assist in managing the sales process from prospecting to closing, meeting, and exceeding goals
- Build relationships with target companies
- Support the overall organization in its efforts for growth, which can include cross-departmental support
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of the Membership Development Manager:
- Completed bachelor’s degree
- Impressive communication and presentation skills, both over the phone and in-person
- Ability to converse with senior leaders at some of the largest global companies
- 1-2 years in business development, membership development, or a sales role
- Strong understanding of B2B selling
- Knowledge or training in sales methodology (Sandler, Challenger, SPIN, etc.) preferred
- Experience in working with lead generation, CRM, or sales automation tools a plus
- Experience in selling services or membership a plus
