Payroll Processing 50%
  • Complete payroll period updates in ADP Workforce Now to include benefits enrollment, pay changes and pro-rated pay
  • Responsibility to manage the payroll email mailbox and to respond promptly and professionally to employee email requests regarding payroll
  • Aggregate and track pay changes each pay period through various reports, ensure ADP Workforce Now is accurately updated
  • Evaluate the accuracy of timesheets and maintain compliance for 350+ hourly employees. Communicate with supervisors or individual employees when there is a discrepancy
  • Review payroll invoices for accuracy
  • Assist the Payroll department with ad hoc reporting requests and audits.
  • Keep apprised of changes in federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
HR Administration 50%
  • Complete staff onboard/offboard in ADP Workforce Now
  • Support 401k Plan needs such as enrollment and withdrawals
  • Assist in creating and maintaining compensation plans
  • Responsible for reviewing HR and Payroll mail, taking necessary action as necessary
  • Maintaining the accuracy of Employee Records
  • Administrator new hire and annual compliance training
Qualifications Payroll and HR Specialist:
  • Must have experience running payroll from timesheet collection to executing it through ADP or related payroll company
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and full MSOffice suite
  • Experience with full cycle payroll processing and proven knowledge of U.S multi-state payroll processes
  • Experience working within ADP Workforce Now
Desired skills:
  • Prefer ability to work on-site in Tysons office; after 90 days of training option for Hybrid
  • Understanding of employment laws and payroll compliance
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Enjoys fast paced environment and new challenges
  • Flexible team player attitude, customer service attitude, and willingness to take on tasks/responsibilities
  • Ability to exercise discretion at all times
