This position will take the lead in office operations and purchasing functions, including vendor management. You will get the chance to work with a small and growing association that has been around since the 1950s with a great office in downtown Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities of the Office Administrator:

  • Office Operations - Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies. Identify opportunities for operational growth and increased efficiencies
  • Vendor Management – Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers and manage contract and price negotiations.
  • Purchasing and Inventory – Manage office supply inventory, ensuring the relevant supplies are stocked and maintaining office equipment.
  • Administrative - Maintains the inventory of office supplies; orders new supplies as needed.
  • Review staff office supply purchasing requests, price and place the order, and deliver them to the staff in a timely fashion
  • Assist HR Manager with new hire onboarding as needed
  • Work with HR on the monthly staff newsletter
  • Lead Social Committee activities and coordinate company events
  • Accounts Payable - Work with our Accountant, AP on administrative tasks

Requirements of the Office Administrator:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a Four Year University or related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Mature, comfortable working with executives, and take feedback
  • Two years of relevant experience in a similar work setting required
  • Previous human resources and/or office manager experience is strongly preferred
